Where it all started…

Originally starting on Lumbard Street in Schenectady in 1974, the Eastern New York Laborers’ Training Center had been preparing LIUNA members for the field for nearly two decades before deciding to move to its current home in Glenmont.

Construction began in Glenmont in 1989 and finished in 1990. A quick an efficient turnaround owed to the skilled LIUNA workforce who built the facility brick by brick.

For well over three decades this training center has stood, ready to continue its work from all the way back on Lumbard Street.
